Pappad (pappadam) Roast
Pappad Roast is a simple dish.Pappad roast takes few minutes to prepare this. Pappad Roast goes well with steamed rice.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 8 Pappadam
- 10 small Onion — finely chopped
- 4 Pods Garlic
- 1-2 tbsp Chilli — crushed
- 1/4 Top Mustard
- 2 tbsp Coconut oil for frying also
- Curry leaves
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Warm coconut oil in a pan, fry each papads, crushed it and set aside.
Step 2
Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a pan, allow to crackle mustard, add small onion, garlic and cook it, stirring. Add crashed chilli, curry leaves and again cook it, stirring well.
Step 3
Add the crushed pappads, stir and Stir everything together thoroughly.Pappad roast is ready.
Step 4
Serve while still hot with steamed rice.
Tip
A heavy-bottomed pan or cast iron skillet gives you the best results for a proper Kerala fry. Thin pans burn the spices before the meat dries.
