Paneeer With Curd Recipe
A home-style Kerala dish made with care and the kind of spice knowledge that comes from watching someone else cook it a hundred times. Each step matters, and the result is worth the effort.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 cup Paneer — cubed
- 6 tbsp Curd
- 1 tbsp Onion — chopped
- 1/2 tsp All purpose flour Maida
- Turmeric powder A pinch
- 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Kalonji karimjeerakam
- Fenugreek seeds A pinch (Uluva)
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds (Perinjeerakam)
- Mustard seeds A pinch
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (Kayam)
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves — chopped
- Oil, to taste
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing paneer with curd, take a mixing bowl and put all the seeds: kalonji, fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida.
Step 2
Grind together onion, chilly powder, garam masala and turmeric powder.
Step 3
Put a hard bottomed pan on fire and heat oil.Fry paneer and set aside. Add the above seed mixture and allow to allow to crackle.
Step 4
Add the ground onion and sautT well. Add paneer and salt.Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Add curd and flour. Bring to boil.
Step 6
Garnish with chopped coriander.
Step 7
