Palakkadan Mulaku Varutha Puli

- Tamarind A big lemon size
- 1 nos Onion
- Mustard seeds
- 5 nos Green chillies
- 1 Stem Curry leaves
- 3 Full Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Palakkadan Mulaku Varutha Puli, first put the tamarind in a glass of water to get the juice.
Step 2
Chop the onions and chillies finely.
Step 3
Pour oil into a pan and heat it.
Step 4
Let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 5
Add curry leaves, chopped onion and green chillies.
Step 6
Add salt.
Step 7
Once the onion turns golden color, add the tamarind juice and allow it to boil.
Step 8
You should taste it n see.if needed add more water. This Mulaku Varutha Puli curry goes well with kadala choondal or potato upperi.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
