Palak Thoran
This is good for eating with rice ,rotti,naan and rice,it is very good for health.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 cup Palak
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 4 Green chilly
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 5 Curry leaves
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
Preparation
Step 1
First in Heat the oil in a kadai add 2 tsp of oil and add mustards.when mustard crackles, add palak,salt and turmeric powder and cook f or 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add half ground coconut, cumin seeds, green chilly and onions to this palak.
Step 3
Stir everything together thoroughly properly and allow it to cook till it becomes dry on a low flame.
Step 4
Mix continuously for 5 minutes.Now palak thoran is ready to serve.
Step 5
Goes well with hot chappathi or with side dish for rice.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
