Padavalangem Parippum Olathu

Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Padavalanga half kg
- Onion half
- Green chilly 2
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Daal half cup
- Dried red chilli 2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Cut snake gourd in to small pieces and clean it well.
Step 2
Get little of daal and clean it well.
Step 3
Heat a pan and pour oil when its hot.
Step 4
Put mustard to it when oil gets hot.
Step 5
When the mustard allow to crackles pour the green chilly,onion,and curry leaves to it.
Step 6
Give it a good stir and add dried red chilly powder to it.
Step 7
Next, add the daal or parippu to it and give it a good stir.
Step 8
Next, add snake gourd and salt.
Step 9
Give it a good stir and close the pan.
Step 10
Cook for 10 to 15 minute and add water if needed.
Step 11
When the dish is ready.
Step 12
Transfer to the serving dish.

The binding point is everything — cook the mixture just until it holds shape when pressed. Overcooked, it turns hard; undercooked, it crumbles.
