Onion And Potato Bhaji

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Onion / Potato (or both) : 2 nos
- Kadala maavu (Gram Flour) : 1 cup
- Salt, to taste
- Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Refined oil / coconut oil, to taste
Preparation

Remove the skin of the onion / potato, wash it and then cut it into round shape.

Mix the kadala maavu with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt along with some water and make a paste (as of making dosa batter).
Step 4
Boil the oil in a pan.
Step 5
Dip the onion / potato slices in the batter and put it into the boiled oil and fry it well.

Goes well with tomato sauce / coconut chutney or pickle.
Tip
Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking. Flavours settle and meld during this time, and the texture often improves.
