Oats Cutlet
Coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a deep golden colour — the crunch is the whole point. Serve with a cup of strong black tea and watch them disappear.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1/2 cup Oats
- 2 tsp Cheese — grated
- 2 tsp Carrot — grated
- Lime juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp Coriander leaves — chopped
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup Bread crumbs
- 1 nos Potato cooked
- 2 tsp All purpose flour Maida
Preparation
Step 1
Mash all ingredients except bread crumbs.
Step 2
Make balls and flatten like a cutlet.
Step 3
Roll in bread crumbs.
Step 4
Fry in hot oil in oil or grill in oven. Oats cutlet is ready. Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup.
Tip
Drain on a wire rack instead of paper towels — the rack keeps the bottom from getting steamy and losing its crispness.
