Naadan Mathanga Palu Curry
Pure Vegetarian Curry with Pumpkin With Step by Step Pictures.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Pumpkin (Mathanga) : ½ kg
- Chilly powder : 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp
- Salt, to taste
- Sambar Parippu : ¼ of a small bowl
- Coconut : ½ no
- Jeera powder : ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves : 2 leaves
Preparation
Step 1
Boil mathanga with salt, turmeric and chilly powder.
Step 2
Grind coconut in a mixer.
Step 3
Mix coconut puree and jeera powder with the boiled Mathanga.
Step 4
Add curry leaves.
Step 5
Mathanga Palu Curry ready.
Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
