Mutton Soup | Goat Soup | Mutton Bone Soup
Mutton Soup made with goat meat and bones is a Indian comfort food known for strength, immunity, and recovery.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 150 g Mutton
- 200 g Mutton bones
- 4 nos Bay leaves Vazhana ela (Karuga)
- 20 g Pepper corns
- 25 g Barley powder
- 30 g Onions — chopped
- 50 g Carrots — chopped
- Ginger A small piece
- Pepper powder, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
In a thick pan, add mutton, mutton bones, 10 glasses of water, carrots, onions, bay leaves, pepper corns, salt and boil on low heat for 2 hours.
Step 2
When the water evaporates and becomes 6 glasses of water, take it off the heat.
Step 3
To the above soup, add barley powder and cook until the soup thickens.
Step 4
Add salt and pepper powder to taste and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 5
Serve Mutton Soup - Goat Soup hot.
Tip
If the gravy reduces too fast before the meat is tender, add hot water in small amounts. Cold water toughens the meat.
