Mutta Nirachathu
Eggs are filled with sweet coconut mixture and fried in coconut oil.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
- 2 cup Sugar
- 6 nos Eggs boiled eggs
- 2 cup Coconut — grated
- 4 cup Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Ghee
- Water, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing mutta nirachathu, cut the boiled eggs into two equal halves.
Step 2
Remove the yolk of the egg.
Step 3
Fry grated coconut and sugar in ghee.
Step 4
Powder the yolk and add it into the above mixture.
Step 5
Then fill this mixture in the part of the egg where we took out the yolk. Set aside.
Step 6
Make a paste using maida and a little water.
Step 7
Dip the filled eggs in the flour paste and fry it in coconut oil till it becomes golden brown.
Step 8
Mutta nirachathu is ready. Serve right away.
Step 9

Tip
Hard-boil the eggs first, then make shallow cuts on the surface before adding them to the gravy — this lets the masala flavour penetrate inside.
