Mussel Mix
A home-style Kerala dish made with care and the kind of spice knowledge that comes from watching someone else cook it a hundred times. Each step matters, and the result is worth the effort.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 300 g Mussel flesh Kallumakaya
- 1 nos Tomato thinly chopped, medium
- 10 g Garlic
- 10 g Coconut powder
- Curry leaves, a few
- 2 nos Onions chopped, medium
- 1 - Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Mussel Mix, grind well the coconut powder with garlic and make the coconut-garlic mix. Keep the mixture aside.
Step 2
Pour oil into a pan and heat it or a kadai.
Step 3
Add onions and fry, till they turn brown.
Step 4
Add mussel flesh and give it a good stir.
Step 5
Add salt and keep on stirring in low flame.
Step 6
Add the garlic-coconut mix and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 7
Add tomato and curry leaves and cook, until the tomato blends well.
Step 8
Delicious Mussel Mix is ready.
Tip
