Mushroom With Coconut
A simple, tasty mushroom curry with a coconut, spices flavor. It can be prepared with readily available ingredients in your kitchen. This quick, Mushroom masala curry goes well with rice, chapathi, and any Indian breads.The mushrooms are coated and cooked with coconut , spices mixture.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 15 nos Mushrooms — sliced
- 1/2 cup Coconut — grated
- 1 Stick Cinnamon (Karugapatta)
- 4 nos Cardamom (Elakka)
- 3 nos Cloves (Grambu)
- 3 - Red chillies (Kollamulaku)
- 3 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Roast all the spices in a pan.
Step 2
When it starts to emit a nice aroma, add coconut.
Step 3
Roast coconut, till it turns slightly brown.
Step 4
Grind them along with enough water to a fine paste.
Step 5
Set a pan over medium heat and pour in the oil.
Step 6
Add mushrooms and sautT for a while.
Step 7
Add the ground paste and water, if required.
Step 8
Add salt and bring to a boil.
Step 9
Lower the flame and let it simmer for 5 - 10 minutes.
Step 10
Goes well with rice.
