Muringakka - Manga Curry
A natural dish prepared from drumsticks and raw mangoes. The tangy flavored and slightly spicy dish requires very few minutes for the preparation. A nutritious combo of healthy vegetables.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 nos Drumsticks Muringakka
- 1 nos Mango
- 1/2 Of Coconut
- 3 nos Onion
- 2 nos Garlic cloves
- 2 nos Green chillies
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- Water to cook
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious and tangy favorite, first cut muringakka and mango into small pieces. With drumsticks, note that the outer skin should be scraped well with a kitchen knife. Chop into small pieces only after scraping all waste.
Step 2
Cook these pieces along with chopped green chillies, salt and enough water. Do not overcook, otherwise drumsticks pieces will get broken up.
Step 3
Grind together coconut, turmeric, onion and garlic together to a paste and add the mixture to the cooked muringakka mixture.
Step 4
Allow heating for one minute in simmer. Do not boil the dish as it is likely to curdle destroying the dish.
Step 5
Pour the entire contents into a serving bowl. You can season the tangy flavored dish with some shallots and curry leaves.the dish with hot rice for noon day meals. You can note the easy dish in you menu chart for a healthy tomorrow.

Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
