Mulaku Bajji (Chilli Bajji)
Mulaku Bajji or Chilli Bajji is a tasty and awesome evening snack that will definitely treat your taste buds. Especially on rainy days, you will love to crispy chilli bajji with a cup of hot tea.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 10 nos Bajji Mulaku Long green chillies
- 1 nos Lime
- 1 cup Gram flour Kadalapodi
- 1 pinch Chilly powder
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 pinch Baking soda
- Salt, to taste
- Oil — for deep frying
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Mulaku Bajji or Chilli Bajji first clean the chillies. Cut into half, take out the seeds inside.
Step 2
Mix together besan flour with salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and pinch of baking soda to dosa batter consistency.
Step 3
Get lime water in a bowl and add a pinch of salt in it.
Step 4
Put the chilles in it for marination for about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Get them out and dip them in the besan batter.
Step 6
Fry in hot oil in hot oil.
Step 7
Serve Mulaku Bajji hot with tomato sauce.
Tip
Drain on a wire rack instead of paper towels — the rack keeps the bottom from getting steamy and losing its crispness.
