Milma Peda - Paal Peda - Milk Peda - Kukskitchen
Straightforward Kerala cooking — good ingredients treated well, spiced with confidence, and served without pretence. The kind of food that tastes like someone's kitchen, not a restaurant.
Ingredientsfor 20 servings
- 400 ml Condensed milk
- 11/2 cup Milk powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee/Butter
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
Preparation
Step 1
Heat a thick bottomed pan and heat ghee. 2)Add the condensed milk and milk powder and stir thoroughly with a wooden spoon until well combined. 3)Add cardamom powder. 4)Continue to mix stirring constantly till the edges of the mix start to come off the pan. 5)Cool the mixture until it is easy to handle; roll the mixture into lemon size balls.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
