Manga Chammanthy
A home-style Kerala dish made with care and the kind of spice knowledge that comes from watching someone else cook it a hundred times. Each step matters, and the result is worth the effort.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 3 slice Raw mango sour
- 6 tbsp Coconut — grated
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 8 nos Shallots (Kunjulli)
- 1/2 tbsp Chilly powder
- Turmeric powder A pinch
Preparation
Step 1
Get the following ingredients in a mixer jar: raw mango slices, grated coconut, chilly powder and turmeric powder.
Step 2
Last, add the green chillies and shallots. Grind once again for 2 seconds.
Step 3
Do not forget to add salt. Manga chammanthy is ready.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
