Mampazha Pachadi - Brahmin Special
Ripe mango extraction, coconut mixture and other ingredients are cooked together.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 nos Ripe mangoes
- 11/2 cup Coconut — grated
- 5 nos Green chillies
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Fenugreek (Uluva)
- 1 nos Red chilly
- 2 tsp Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 piece Jaggery
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing mampazha pachadi - brahmin special, boil the ripe mango in water and extract juice out of it. Set aside.
Step 2
Grind the grated coconut and green chilly.
Step 3
Add the ground item to the mango juice and boil for few minutes.
Step 4
Add jaggery.
Step 5
Fry mustard seeds, fenugreek and red chilly in coconut oil.
Step 6
Add this to the mixture of mango juice.
Step 7
Mampazha pachadi - brahmin special recipe, is ready.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
