Malabar Style Spicy Mince Chicken Fry
Stir fried chicken with ginger, garlic and garam masala to create a flavorful side dish that can be made for gathering. It goes well with chappati, nice pathiri etc.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 kg Chicken Marinate the chicken pieces in a mixture of chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and deep fry in hot oil
- 3 nos Onion
- 2 nos Tomato
- 4 nos Green chilly
- 11/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 21/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- Coriander leaves little
- Curry leaves little
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Warm the oil in a pan and fry in hot oil the marinated chicken pieces.
Step 2
Mince the fried chicken pieces into long shreds.
Step 3
Warm the oil in a pan and cook onion until it becomes lightly browned.
Step 4
Add tomato, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, coriander leaves, garam masala, salt and Let it cook for 5 minutes in low flame.
Step 5
Add minced chicken and combine it well.
Step 6
Add pepper powder and Let it cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
Step 7
Serve it with chappati.
Tip
Do not boil the curry hard after adding coconut milk. A gentle simmer is all you need — vigorous boiling can cause the coconut milk to split.
