Lime Ginger Squash
Lime juice mixed with crushed ginger to create a refreshing drink.
Ingredientsfor 10 servings
- 25 nos Lemon
- 150 g Ginger — crushed
- 1.5 kg Sugar
- 3 cup Water
- 1/2 tsp Lime essence
- 1/2 tsp Preservative — optional
Preparation
Step 1
Clean the lemon nicely and squeeze the juice. Set aside.
Step 2
Get 3 cups water and add the crushed ginger to it. let it bubble for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Add sugar and boil again until the sugar melts completely.
Step 4
When the sugar syrup has become a bit sticky, turn off the burner. Cool the sugar syrup.
Step 5
Stir in the lemon juice and stir uniformly. Add lime essence.
Step 6
Strain the lime ginger squash into a clean vessel and pour into a dry bottle.
Step 7
Tips:- 1)While adding the preservative, liquidize it in a little hot water before adding to the squash.
Step 8
It is preferable not to add preservatives. By storing in a refrigerator, you can serve the purpose of lasting.
Tip
Fresh curry leaves make a genuine difference. Dried curry leaves are a poor substitute — if you cannot get fresh ones, increase the quantity and fry them longer.
