Lemon Pickle
White lemon pickle prepared by leaving lemon pieces in salted solution.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 10 nos Lemon ripe
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Wash the lemons with water and steam them for around 5-7 minutes. 2)Remove and dry it using cloth first and then wrap it in tissue paper for some time to ensure there is no water content. 3)Cut the lemons in 4 pieces and put it in a bottle.
Step 2
Add required table salt, close the bottle and mix it well by shaking the bottle vigorously.
Step 3
Leave it for a week or ten days. Salted lemon pickle is ready.
Step 4
Note: Mixing a crushed green chilly to the lemon piece while using, adds up the taste.
Tip
The jar must be completely dry and the spoon must be clean every time you take from it. Any moisture introduces bacteria and spoils the pickle.
