Ladies Finger In Curd

- 250 g Ladies finger
- 500 g Curd
- 2 nos Onion — chopped
- 2 nos Green chillies — slit
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds (Uluva)
- Turmeric powder A pinch
- Curry leaves, a few
- Oil, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing ladies finger in curd, first cut ladies finger in slices.
Step 2
Whip the curd and turmeric.
Step 3
Warm the oil in a kadai, allow to crackle mustard, fenugreek and curry leaves. Add onion and green chillies.
Step 4
Add ladies finger and fry well.
Step 5
Add curd, salt and cook in low flame.
Step 6
Ladies finger in curd is ready.
Tip
When the recipe says "medium heat," it means medium. Kerala cooking is not about high-flame drama — most of the work happens at a patient, steady temperature.
