Kozhi Nadan Ularthiyathu
A spicy starter. This nadan kozhi is a dry version made with our regular ingredients available at home. I have used homemade garam masala which will give this nadan kozhi ularthiyathu an unique nadan taste.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 400 g Chicken very small pieces or boneless
- 2 tsp Curd
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 1 nos Onion — chopped
- 5 nos Green chillies — chopped
- 5 Cloves Garlic — chopped
- 2 tsp Ginger — chopped
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
- 1 cup Coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Pepper
- 2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1 tbsp Tomato sauce
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing kozhi nadan ularthiyathu, fist take chopped onion, coriander leaves, ginger and garlic in a cutting board. Once again mix all and chop again.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix chopped mixture, lime juice, garam masala, chilly powder, tomato sauce, salt, curd and chicken pieces well.
Step 3
Set aside for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Add flour to chicken and fry it in oil.
Step 5
Remove from oil, when done and sprinkle pepper on top. Decorate Kozhi nadan ularthiyathu with chopped onion and fried curry leaves on top.
Step 6
Kozhi nadan ularthiyathu is ready.
Tip
Do not boil the curry hard after adding coconut milk. A gentle simmer is all you need — vigorous boiling can cause the coconut milk to split.
