Kerala Style Tomato Curry
This tomato, prepared in authentic, method, is one of the easiest dishes that can be prepared in a jiffy. Kerala Style Tomato Curry tastes best with hot rice or roti.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 4 nos Tomato chopped into medium pieces
- 2 nos Onion — cut into long pieces
- 3 nos Green chilly split into 4 pieces
- 1 Spring Curry leaves
- 4 nos Onion chop into tiny pieces, small
- 3/4 tbsp Red chilly powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 3 nos Dry red chilly
- 1 cup Coconut
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powders
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Kerala Style Tomato Curry, take a bowl and put tomatoes, onions, green chillies, curry leaves, chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
Step 2
Mix it well with your hands and set aside for 20-30 minutes.
Step 3
Put this mixture in a kadai, pour 3 cups of water and boil it for 10 minutes. :- Close it with a lid.
Step 4
After 10 minutes, remove the lid and add the coconut mixture, salt and boil it for 3 minutes.
Step 5
Heat a pan and pour 3 table spoons of coconut oil. let the mustard seeds crackle.
Step 6
Add small onion, dry red chilly and fry it.
Step 7
Add this into the Kadai and mix the tomato curry well.
Step 8
Have the Kerala style tomato curry with rice.the Tomato curry!
Tip
The oil separating from the masala is your signal that the base is properly cooked. Do not add the main ingredient before you see those pools of oil on the surface.
