Kerala Mixed Fruit Halwa

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 kg Ripe bananas
- 250 g Dates
- 250 g Apples
- 250 g Seedless grapes Green
- 1 nos Pineapple
- 250g/As reqd Sugar
- 100 g Raisins
- 100 g Cashew nut
- 100 g Almonds
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious halwa, first cook the ripe bananas well and remove seeds.
Step 2
Grind the cooked bananas, dates and apples.
Step 3
Cut the pine apple and extract juice.
Step 4
Boil sugar in a cup of water.
Step 5
When the sugar solutions turns syrupy, add pineapple juice and give it a good stir.
Step 6
As it gets thickened, add the fruit pulp and cook well.
Step 7
Add seedless grapes and Let it cook for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Finally add cashews, raisins and almonds and remove from fire when the halwa gets separated from the sides of the container.
Step 9
You can make pieces out of this or you can serve with the help of a spoon.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
