Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 1 Raw Papaya
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Onion
- 2 Green chilly
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- -2 tsp Cooked green peas
Preparation
Step 1
Remove the skin and seeds of raw papaya.Cut it into small pieces and set aside.
Step 2
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it add mustard seeds.When mustard allow to crackles add urad dal, cook for a minute.
Step 3
Add red chilly and curry leaves to this and cook for a minute.
Step 4
Add chopped kapalanga into this kadai and Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Grind coconut,cumin seeds,green chilli, chilly powder,turmeric powder and onion in a mixer.
Step 6
Add this ground mix to pappaya and add 1 spoon green peas and salt too.Mix all together well Let it cook for 5 minutes in a low flame.
Step 7
Now Kerala kappalanga green peas thoran is ready to serve.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
