Kerala Kaada - Quail Fry
Slow-roasted in coconut oil with a generous hand of spices, this quail fry develops layers of flavour as it dries out on the pan. The patience pays off — every piece is coated and concentrated.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 2 nos Quail Kaada
- Oil, to taste
- 2 sprig Curry leaves
- 2 tsp Chilly powder
- Garam masala A pinch
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 4 Cloves garlic — ground
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing quail fry recipe, first mix together the ingredients for marinade: chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, garlic and required salt.
Step 2
Apply the marinade on the washed and drained quails.
Step 3
Marinate quails for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a frying pan and dip in curry sprigs. Place the marinated quails on top and fry in hot oil to a golden brown color.

Tip
