Kerala Fish Fry / Meen Fry
Kerala Fish Fry / Meen fry is very common and one of the most favorite dishes in Kerala. This recipe is as simple as it can get, and goes well with any type of fish.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/2 kg King Fish
- 11/2 tsp Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Clean the fish and cut them into cubes.
Step 2
Mix all the ingredients and make a paste.
Step 3
Marinate the fish in this paste and leave it for an hour.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and lay the fish on the pan.
Step 5
Fry it for about 15 minutes, on low heat by turning them on both sides. Serve hot!
Tip
Patience at the dry-roasting stage is everything. The longer you let the moisture evaporate, the more concentrated the flavour becomes.
