Kerala Chicken Cutlet
an awesome chicken delicacy that can be served as an appetizer, starter or even as a evening snack. Chicken cutlets are a favorite with kids and all people irrespective of age.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- Chicken : 200 gm
- Onion : 1 nos
- Potato : Medium size
- Chilli powder : 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder : 1 tsp
- Turmeric : ¼ tsp
- Oil : required for shallow fry
- Egg : 1 no
- Rusk powder or Bread Crumbs : 50 gm
- Salt : for Taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing the delicious cutlet, first boil chicken and potato with salt, required water and turmeric powder. Make sure that the chicken pieces are cooked well.
Step 2
Mash the chicken and potato. Mash only roughly. Mix gently.
Step 3
To the above add sliced onion, garam masala, chilli powder, egg and salt if necessary. Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Roll the same in the shape of a cutlet.
Step 5
Dip in rusk powder and pan-fry it using a dosa pan. Let the cutlets be fried to a crispy brown color.
Step 6
Delicious Kerala Chicken Cutlet dish is ready. Serve cutlets hot with tomato sauce. Cutlets are a great dish that can be served with almost anything. Cutlets can also be served as a snack with hot tea.
Tip
Oil temperature is critical. Too hot and the outside burns before the inside cooks. Too cool and the snack absorbs oil and turns soggy.
