Kerala Beetroot Ularthiyathu
It is a tasty dish for rice.Even kids likes this.Beet root is good for health.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 1 cup Beet root — chopped
- 1 Coconut — grated
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 5 Curry leaf
- 1 tsp Oil
- 2 Red chilly
- 2 Green chilli
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Onion
Preparation
Step 1
Warm the oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds.when mustard allow to crackles add red chilli and curry leaves Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add chopped beet root to this and Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Grind coconut cumin seeds onion and green chilli with a mixer.
Step 4
Add this ground mix to beet root and mix all together.
Tip
A heavy-bottomed pan or cast iron skillet gives you the best results for a proper Kerala fry. Thin pans burn the spices before the meat dries.
