Kattukulathil Dry Chicken

Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- Chicken
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- Chilly powder, to taste
- 10 nos Small onions
- 3 – Green chillies
- Curry leaves A few sprigs
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Kattukulathil Dry Chicken, mix together turmeric, red chilly powder and salt in water and marinate the chicken with this paste and crushed small onions for 20 – 30 minutes.
Step 2
Transfer the contents to a pan, Put the lid on and cook it without adding water.
Step 3
When it gets dry, add slit green chillies, curry leaves and coconut oil and dry it up a lit bit more.
Tip
Marinate for at least 30 minutes if you can — the spices penetrate deeper and the chicken stays juicier.
