Kathrikka Upperi
Kathrika upperi is a side dish of kerala that we can eat with rice and chappathi.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 5 Brinjal
- 1 Onion
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 Green Chillies
Preparation
Step 1
Warm the oil in a kadai add onions and green chilli and cook for a minute.
Step 2
Add chopped brinjal and salt Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add water and Let it cook for 2 minutes in a high flame.
Step 4
After that close the lid and let it bubble for 1 minute.
Step 5
Now kathrika upperi is ready.
Step 6
We can serve hot.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
