- Kappa : 1 no
- Onion : ½ no
- Mustard : 3 tsp
- Coconut : ½ cup
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Green Chilly : 3 nos
- Salt, to taste
Preparation

Cook kappa using little water, salt and turmeric powder.

When it gets cooked off the flame and then heat another pan add oil in it and when it gets hot add mustard to it.

When it allow to crackles add onion,coconut and green chilly cook it, stirring well.
Step 5
Then pour this matter to the cooked kappa.
Step 6
Give it a good stir.
Step 7
Serve while still hot with pickle or chutney and tea or coffee.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
