Ingredientsfor 1 servings
- 1 cup Flour
- 2 Egg
- 2-3 tsp Sugar
- 2-3 Cardamom
- Oil to fry
Preparation
Step 1
Mix the egg, sugar and cardamom in a bowl thoroughly.
Step 2
Add the flour to it and Stir everything together thoroughly to make a thick batter.
Step 3
Set a kadai over medium heat and pour in the oil.
Step 4
Get a handful of this batter and pour it to the oil in a spiral manner (like making a jalebi).
Step 5
Fry that side.
Step 6
Turn it over and fry the other side till it turns lightly browned.
Step 7
Repeat the process for the remaining batter.
Step 8
Serve it as an evening snack.
Tip
When the recipe says "medium heat," it means medium. Kerala cooking is not about high-flame drama — most of the work happens at a patient, steady temperature.
