Kadachakka Bajji | Breadfruit Bajji

Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 medium Size Breadfruit Kadachakka
- 1 cup Besan flour
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tsp Red chilli powder
- To fry Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Peel Kadachakka (Breadfruit), cut and remove the core and all porous portions of the flesh and slice the Kadachakka into small pieces (with same width as shown in above picture) and keep the pieces separately.
Step 2
Get Kadalamaavu (Bengalgram Flour) in a bowl, add Red Chilli powder and Salt along with required quantity of water and mix them together and make it in paste form. Keep the paste aside.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a Cheenachatti and dip the Kadachakka pieces in the Paste (already prepared and kept aside) and put them into the hot oil, stir it occasionally and cook the pieces properly in medium flame.
Step 4
When both sides of the Bajjis are cooked/fried properly, take them out and keep in a serving plate/ Container. The deicious bajjis are ready. Serve with Tomato Sauce/Green Chutney.
Tip
Jaggery burns easily. Melt it on low heat and always strain it to remove grit before adding it to the mixture.
