Jackfruit-Chakka Dosa
Golden-brown and lightly crisp, this dosa is the kind of breakfast that works on busy mornings and lazy weekends alike. The batter keeps well in the fridge for two to three days.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Raw rice
- 1 cup Coconut — grated
- 15 nos Half ripe jackfruit flesh — chopped
- 1 cup Jaggery (sharkkara)
- 1 cup Wheat flour
- Salt, to taste
- Ghee, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing jackfruit/chakka dosa, first soak rice in water and grind it.
Step 2
Grind coconut, wheat flour, jackfruit flesh and jaggery.
Step 3
Add to the rice mixture.
Step 4
Set aside for 8 hours.
Step 5
Make dosa from it.
Step 6
Jackfruit/chakka dosa is ready.
Tip
A well-seasoned cast iron or non-stick tawa makes all the difference. If the dosa sticks, your pan needs more seasoning or the temperature is too low.
