Ice Cream-Fruits Salad
A fresh, crunchy side that adds a cool contrast to the spiced dishes on a Kerala meal plate. Light seasoning, fresh ingredients, and a simplicity that lets each component speak for itself.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/4 Gallon Vanilla ice cream
- 1 nos Apple
- 1 nos Ripe banana
- 1 bunch Seedless grapes atleast 15 grapes
- Any other fruit of your liking
- Mango pulp — optional
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the fruits into small pieces and slice the grapes in half.
Step 2
Keep stirring 4 - 5 scoops of ice cream in a serving bowl, till its soft and melted.
Step 3
Mix the fruits with ice cream.
Step 4
Add more ice cream, till all the fruit pieces are covered.
Step 5
Serve chilled.
Step 6
For added flavour, you could mix mango pulp with the ice cream. :- Remove the ice cream from freezer and keep it in refrigerator for couple of hours. This softens the ice cream. :- For parties, if you have the fruits cut, this dish is something you can prepare in 5 minutes.
