How To Make Kerala Easy Vegatable Fried Rice
A one-pot rice dish that brings together grains, spices, and vegetables or meat in a single satisfying meal. The rice absorbs every flavour in the pot and comes out fragrant, colourful, and complete.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 200 g Rice
- 1/2 Of Onion big
- 10 nos Beans
- 1 nos Carrot big
- 2 tbsp Green peas
- Coriander leaves
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 500 g Water
Preparation
Step 1
Cut onion and vegetables into small pieces.
Step 2
Wash rice and drain the water completely.
Step 3
In a frying pan, cook onion, vegetables, green peas, coriander leaves and rice.
Step 4
Add required salt.
Step 5
When rice turns light brown color, put off flame.
Step 6
Cook the mixture in a electric rice cooker with water.
Step 7
Open when cooked.
Step 8
When cooked, rice cooker automatically turns to warm.
Step 9
If an Indian cooker is used (the one with a whistle), cook the mixture with water in medium flame for 10 minutes.
Tip
Soak the rice for at least 20 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking and prevents the grains from breaking.
