Horlicks Kulfi
A traditional preparation from Kerala that balances flavour, texture, and aroma in the way that only home cooking can. No two households make it exactly the same, and that is the point.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1/4 cup Corn flour
- 2 tbsp Horlicks
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 11/2 cup Milk
Preparation
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, and add horlicks and corn flour.
Step 2
Pour 3 tbsp milk and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 3
B oil the milk by adding sugar. When it starts boil reduce the flame and pour the mixture, make sure there are no lumps.
Step 4
Keep stirring and boil for another 5 minutes on medium heat till it starts thick. Unde 5-8 minutes it reaches a thick consistancy. Switch off and cool completely.fill the moulds as desired and freeze until set.
Step 5
Yemmy delicious Horlicks kulfi is ready.
Tip
Do not rush the onion and shallot frying. The difference between pale onions and properly browned onions is the difference between a flat dish and a flavourful one.
