Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 2 nos Potato
- 1 tsp Chat masala — optional
- Oil for frying
- Salt, as needed
Preparation
Step 1
Slice the peeled potatoes in thin round shapes. Place the potato slices in cold water for 2-3 minutes. Drain the water completely and pat dry the potato slices on tissue paper.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a fry pan and fry the potato slices till it turns crisp and slightly brown colour. Add chat masala and salt before transferring to a serving plate.
Step 3
Serve while still hot with tomato ketchup.
Tip
Coconut oil is the default cooking fat in Kerala kitchens. It adds a depth of flavour that other oils simply cannot match in these recipes.
