Healthy Daal
Daal is cooked with spinach and other ingredients - Healthy Daal.
Ingredientsfor 6 servings
- 250 g Daal
- 150 g Spinach — chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger — chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic — chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies — chopped
- 2 nos Onion — chopped
- 4 nos Vayana / vazhana leaves Belongs to the family of bay leaves
- 4 nos Cloves (Grambu)
- Salt, to taste
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp Chilly powder
- ¼ tsp Coriander powder
- ¼ tsp Garam masala
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing healthy daal, wash the daal and soak it in water for 2hrs.
Step 2
Fry the ingredients ginger, garlic, green chillies, onion, vayana leaves, cloves, salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder, and coriander powder.
Step 3
Add spinach to it and cook it in low flame.
Step 4
Add the soaked daal to it and cook in low flame for about 10 minutes. 5)Mix the cooked ingredients well and take it off the heat.
Step 5
Add garam masala and lemon juice before serving.
