Green Peas Mushroom Thoran
It is a nadan dish in kerala,we can eat this as a side dish with chappathi and rice.It has full of nutriens.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 cup Green peas
- 1 cup Mushroom
- 1/2 cup Coconut — grated
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Onion
- 1 tsp Oil
- 2 Red chilli
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Gram masala
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 5 Curry leaf
- 1 tsp Mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Pour oil into a kadai and heat it and add mustard,When it allow to crackles add red chilli and curry leaf,Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add cleaned mushrooms to this and Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add washed green peas to this and Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Grind grated coconut,cumin seeds,chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,gram masala in a mixer.
Step 5
Add this ground mix to green peas and mushroom mix, cook for a minute.
Step 6
Add 1 cup water to this,add salt.
Step 7
Close the lid and let it bubble for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Now mushroom green peas thoran is ready to serve.
Tip
Shred the vegetable as fine as you can — the thinner the cuts, the better the thoran. A sharp knife makes all the difference.
