Green Pappaya Pachadi
Green Pappaya pachadi is an easy to make kerala style Thayir Pachadi.The taste of this Pachadi is similar as that of Cucumber Pachadi.It is a quick fix healthy recipe to serve with rice.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 medium Pappaya
- 1 cup Coconut
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 4 Dry red chilly
- Ginger small pc
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Curry leaves little
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Peel and chop the pappaya into small pieces.Add enough water to submerge and allow to cook till soft with some salt.
Step 2
While it is cooking,grind the coconut,mustard seed and green chillies together as a fine paste.
Step 3
Discard the pappaya cooked water and add the coconut paste and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a clay pot and allow to crackle mustard seed in it.add curry leaves and dry red chillies along with it.
Step 5
Add pappaya coconut mixture into it and cook for 30 seconds and turn off the heat.add the thick beaten yogurt and Stir everything together thoroughly.check for salt and add if required.
Step 6
Green pappaya pachadi is ready to serve.
Tip
Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking. Flavours settle and meld during this time, and the texture often improves.
