Gothambupodi Laddu
In India we come across so many Laddus and Gothambupodi Laddu is one such irresistible sweet, very tasty too. Happy and joyous moments are celebrated with Laddus. one of the easiest of dishes that requires just minutes for preparation.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- 1 cup Wheat flour Fried whole wheat powdered, Gothambupodi
- 3/4 cup Sugar — powdered
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1/4 cup Dry grated coconut
- Cashew nuts, to taste
- Raisins, as needed
- Cardamom, as needed
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing Gothambupodi Laddu, first heat 1/4 cup of ghee in a frying pan.
Step 2
Add cashews and raisins and fry them well.
Step 3
Remove them onto a separate plate.
Step 4
To the remaining ghee, add the wheat flour and give it a good stir.
Step 5
Switch off the gas.
Step 6
Add coconut and Stir everything together thoroughly again.
Step 7
Add the fried cashews and raisins along with the cardamom and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 8
Slowly add sugar, a little at a time into the above mix and mix the whole thing very well.
Step 9
Make small balls of the above mix to get Gothambupodi Laddus.
Tip
Ghee quality matters enormously in traditional sweets. Use homemade ghee if you can — the flavour is incomparably richer.
