Garlic Butter Prawns With Rice
A one-pot rice dish that brings together grains, spices, and vegetables or meat in a single satisfying meal. The rice absorbs every flavour in the pot and comes out fragrant, colourful, and complete.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 6 - Tiger/medium prawns de-shelled
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- 100 g Unsalted butter
- 2 nos Green chillies — finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Fresh coriander — finely chopped
- Salt A pinch
- 5 nos Garlic pods peeled and — crushed
Preparation
Step 1
Place the butter, coriander leaves, chillies, garlic and salt in a microwaveable bowl and cook on high for a minute.
Step 2
Heat a non stick pan.
Step 3
Fry the prawns for 2 - 3 minutes.
Step 4
Pour the mixture of butter over the prawns and give it a good stir till the prawns are coated.
Step 5
Get the serving dish and place the rice in one half and the prawn mixture in the other half. Serve hot.
Tip
Soak the rice for at least 20 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking and prevents the grains from breaking.
