Fruit Rice Pudding
A one-pot rice dish that brings together grains, spices, and vegetables or meat in a single satisfying meal. The rice absorbs every flavour in the pot and comes out fragrant, colourful, and complete.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- 1 tbsp Rice cooked
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 tsp Apple juice
- 4 nos Grapes
- 1 piece Pineapple — sliced
- 2 Drops Vanilla essence
- Sugar, to taste
- 1 piece Cinnamon (Karugapatta)
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing fruit rice pudding, boil milk, sugar, cinnamon and rice on low heat till the milk drains to half.
Step 2
Drop in the rest of the ingredients and Stir everything together thoroughly. Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
Step 3
Remove the cinnamon and grind the mixture.
Step 4
Cook the mixture on low heat again for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Convert it into a pudding tray and put it in the fridge.
Step 6
Fruit rice pudding is ready. Serve chilled.
Tip
Soak the rice for at least 20 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking and prevents the grains from breaking.
