Fish Sandwich
Marinated fish fillets are steamed are later sanwiched with chutney mixture.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 12 slice Bread
- 125 g Fish fillets
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Lime juice
- Salt, to taste
- 1 nos Onion small
- 1 nos Green chilly
- 3 Flakes Garlic
- Ginger A small piece
- 2 tsp Gram — roasted
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)
- 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup Mint leaves
- 1/2 tsp Sugar — optional
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
For preparing fish sandwich for kids, first marinate the washed and drained fish fillets with a mixture of lime juice, pepper powder and required salt. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Grind all the ingredients together for preparing chutney without adding any water: onion, green chilly, garlic, ginger, roasted gram, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, mint leaves, sugar(optional) and required salt.
Step 3
Steam the marinated fish fillets for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Chop the fish fillets when it cool.
Step 5
Rub the chutney mixture on one side of a bread slice and top with chopped fish. Cover with a bread slice.
Step 6
Repeat same procedure with remaining bread slices.
Step 7
Fish Sandwich, a nutritional as well a Favorite with kids, is ready.
Tip
Never stir a fish curry with a spoon. Shake the pot gently to coat the pieces — stirring breaks them apart.
