Fish Cutlet
Coated in a well-seasoned batter and fried to a deep golden colour — the crunch is the whole point. Serve with a cup of strong black tea and watch them disappear.
Ingredientsfor 5 servings
- 200 g Canned tuna fish
- 1 cup Potato — mashed
- 1/2 cup Onion — chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger — chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic — chopped
- 2 nos Green chillies — chopped
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- 2 tsp Tomato ketchup
- 1/2 cup Coriander leaves — chopped
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 nos Egg
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- 1 cup Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together tuna, mashed potato, chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies,pepper powder,garam masala powder, coriander leaves and salt.
Step 2
Make small oval shape balls with this mixture.
Step 3
Dip these balls in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.
Step 4
Pour oil into a pan and heat it.
Step 5
Fry in hot oil in oil, till they become golden brown.
Step 6

Tip
Drain on a wire rack instead of paper towels — the rack keeps the bottom from getting steamy and losing its crispness.
