Eggs With Gram Flour - Tea Time Snack
Eggs cooked the Kerala way — with a rich masala of shallots, tomatoes, and spices. Fast enough for a weeknight, flavourful enough to feel like effort went in.
Ingredientsfor 4 servings
- Flour : 1 cup
- Boiled egg : 4 nos
- Chilly powder : 2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
- Water, to taste
- Oil, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Mix gram flour with salt and chilly powder.
Step 2
Add sufficient water to it and make a smooth paste.
Step 3
Cut the egg in to small pieces and mix with gram flour mixture.
Step 4
Heat a pan add oil and when it gets hot add the batter to it and give it a good stir.
Step 5
Stir for 5 minutes and our dish is ready.
Step 6
We can take this snack with sugar, sauce or salt and pepper.
Step 7
Serve while still hot with tea.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
