Egg Omlet
A protein rich breakfast especially for school going kids. It will be a fulfilled breakfast.
Ingredientsfor 3 servings
- 5 nos Eggs
- 1/2 cup Shallots or Onion — chopped
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ginger — chopped
- 2 tsp Green Chilli Chopped Green Chilli can be replaced with about ½ tsp Red Chilli powder — chopped
- 3 tsp Coconut/refined Oil
Preparation
Step 1
Get the mix of Chopped Shallots/Onion, Ginger, Green Chilli/Red Chilli Powder and Salt in a Vessel/Bow.
Step 2
Crack the Eggs and add the contents into this mix.
Step 3
Beat the mix with a tea-spoon for about five minutes (if necessary add about ½ tspn Turmeric powder also).
Step 4
Heat the frying pan/Dosakkal and apply some oil on it.
Step 5
Then apply a part of the contents of egg, mixed with Shallots/Onion, Chilli and Ginger.
Step 6
Spread the mix in the Frying pan/Dosakkal as shown in picture and allow to cook it properly.
Step 7
After 2 – 3 minutes, turn the Omelet into other side and allow to let it go for about two minutes and then change it into the serving plate.
Step 8
Egg Omelet is ready and it can be served with Bread or as a side dish for lunch/dinner etc.
Tip
Frying the boiled eggs briefly before adding to the curry gives them a golden skin that holds up better in the gravy.
