Egg Bread Cake
Old-fashioned Kerala sweetmaking — no shortcuts, no substitutes. Jaggery, ghee, and coconut come together through slow cooking and patience into something far greater than the sum of their parts.
Ingredientsfor 2 servings
- Egg : 2 nos
- Bread crumbs (powdered) : 2 nos
- Water : 2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Beat the eggs.
Step 2
Add Powdered bread to this and Stir everything together thoroughly.
Step 3
Enter Step.

Add water to this. Mix again.
Step 5
Set a pan on the stove, heat the oil.Cook the mixture. Make sure that the flames are low. Cook both sides.
Step 6
Enter Step.
Step 7
Egg bread cake is ready.
Tip
When working with jaggery, always melt and strain it first. Even the best quality jaggery has some grit that needs to be removed.
